MacBook Air stuck on spinning globe

What do I do? The globe is spinning but the progress bar is just stuck with the timer at 24:00. Do I wait it out?

Did you come across this issue while trying to boot up your notebook? ... or were you doing something else when this occurred?

If it occurred during boot up, go ahead and power-down your device. Then try powering it back up as you normally would. If the same error occurs, power it down again, but this time boot up in Safe Mode to see if it will boot up the the macOS Desktop.

Please post back your results.
