FB is not working properly on IPAD, other apps also closing prematurely or freeze.

i have the fb and messenger app on my ipad and iphone. Both worked for a long time. Starting today on my ipad while in FB only messenger shows I have 1 message but I don’t. Also in FB it shows I have notifications but when I open Notifications it keeps acting like its trying to load but never loads. Messenger app out side of FB does not have any issues, and FB on my iphone and pc is working as expected. I have reset my phone, restarted my phone both after deleting FB app, the reinstalled the app but still same problem. Then I removed the app and updated the IPAD IOS and reinstalled the app, and still same issue. How can I resolve this. IPAD 2 6th generation.

I agree. The app remains in the "cloud" so when you uninstall and then ireinstall, I think you may get the app as it was with the problem.

I have of course done that and they say since it works on iphone and pc it is something on the ipad. My concern is that you can’t fully uninstall the app on the ipad and reinstall to fix the issue. Something does not get removed on IPAD. I have had other apps with a similar issue in the past and have had to just stop using the app. I have other apps now that are aborting in the middle of using the app - app closes for no reason. I feel it is an APPLE ipad issue because you can’t truly uninstall the app.

Sorry yes I meant I restarted the ipad not iPhone. 6th Gen IPAD. i think I figured out what happened and will just wait for the next FB update. I have sent FB messages but they are not replying. I finally got messenger within FB fixed but not FB Notifications. I researched and found their direct link to get my notifications until they fix the code or the notification bell. They pushed a FB App update to my IPAD on the day it broke. No problem on my phone because it is still on the previous versions. I found out hey update once a week so that explains why I have seen periodic issues that come and go or seem to fix themselves. Thanks for your help just the same, at least you all replied. :-).
