I signed up for 1 year free and I see I will be billed within one month why?

The free year is for those who purchased a qualifying device from Apple or an authorized reseller. They would then need to activate the device and claim the offer within 3 months. The standard trial is for 7 days.

To verify you can go into your account and select the Apple TV Plus subscription, it will show it's status as well as the next billing date.

Believe our offer was a 4 month (?) trial period on one of the screens we saw on our new LG TV. Now I can't find it again and logging in to our AppleID account on the TV doesn't bring it up.

Apple Music is a separate service, the year offer from Apple is for their Apple TV Plus service. If Best Buy was offering a promo for Apple Music and you received an email then details should have been included there.

Apple Music wouldn't be available through your LG TV, it would require an Apple device, PC, compatible smart speaker, or Android based phone.

If you had claimed the offer then you will not get billed. Had you simply seen a billing from Apple then that could be for any number of items associated with the account. You can verify by checking the billing history and/or checking the status on the subscription (which will show its next billing date). If an item was purchased previously then the offer is valid for 3 months.

Tvs wouldn’t be qualifying devices for Apple’s offer. If LG had an offer tied to their TV purchase then you would need to contact them about that.
