When I delete a photo in an album, I want it to delete from my library too.
I used to be able to do this before the recent updates I just need someone to tell me how to do it now.

Select photos in albums ( use command and A keys ) , you can click either delete button on the keyboard or use command and delete keys to delete see the article https://support.apple.com/en-in/guide/photos/pht9b4411b24/mac

Hold down the Option key. This will change Remove to Delete in albums you created.
It is not the Option key but the Command key.
You can still use the key combination ⌘⌫ to delete items from an album, that you created yourself.
