combining Apple ID/iCloud IDs

Hello! I have an issue where I have 2x Apple ID's tied to my email address. This is because my email address is a Google one, which allows punctuation but also works without out. As a result, there's two versions of my gmail account with Apple ID's attached (one with punctuation, one without). Is there a way to combine the Apple ID/iCloud accounts associated with each into one account?

If your email address is spelled differently between one and the other, then they are in effect 2 different email addresses and as such 2 different Apple IDs.

What you can do, is download anything you have in iCloud from one Apple ID, and then upload it to the other Apple ID.

Once you are satisfied with the transfer, you can then sign out of one of the Apple IDs from the devices they are signed into, and sign in with the one you now want to use.

Note, tha any purchases made with one Apple ID, cannot be transferred, and will need to be re-purchased with the other, or you would need to setup family sharing to access the purchases made with one Apple ID from the other.

You can log in to https://icloud.com with the one ID you want to stop using, and see what is in their, download it to a computer, and re-upload to the other Apple ID.

Eric will speak for himself. But if they truly are two versions of the same thing, then they would be attached to the same things. If not, then you have two Apple IDs. In this case, you can transfer some things one to the other, but there might be some data loss. And, you could deactivate or delete one of them. See my post above.

Also, I would deactivate as you suggest rather than delete. See:

How to deactivate your Apple ID account  https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT208503

If you request account deactivation, you'll receive a unique alphanumeric access code. When you're ready to reactivate your Apple ID, contact Apple Support, provide your access code, and we’ll help you reactivate your account. If you lose this code, we won't be able to help reactivate your account."

How to Delete your Apple ID Account https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT208504

“While your request is being processed, you can contact Apple Support with the unique alphanumeric access code you received, and we’ll help you cancel your request. After your account is deleted, Apple can't cancel the request, reopen your account, or restore your data.”
