No, you don't need anti-virus software for your phone or your Mac. But, that doesn't mean your identity can't be stolen from somewhere else. Accounts can be hacked into. Even your Apple ID could, under some circumstances, be compromised.

There are no known viruses in the wild that can affect either macOS or iOS.

iOS / iPadOS devices cannot be hacked or infected with Virus / Malware / Spyware by merely clicking on a link in Safari, unless you have intentionally downloaded spurious softwares or unauthorised apps directly from internet and installed on your device or/and have Jail Broken.
