I shot 2 clips but the second began approximately 47:22 after the first.
In the screenshot below, I have put the 2 clips in the timeline and synchronised them by eye.
Unfortunately when I select the 2 clips in the browser and create a multicam clip, both clips have the same start point and are therefore out of sync.
So how do I get them in sync?
Thanks Tom. The mention of markers was hidden away under "angles" but at last thanks to you I have found it.
The way I mentioned appears to be an alternative.
The clips below were not in sync but it was simple to drag the upper clip to line up the markers.
Incidentally for any bemused onlookers, I don't usually have such huge clip images in my Browser and Timeline. I just enlarged them to make the screenshots clearer!

I am completely at sea! In the old days, when I could do multicam editing, I just had to click on the clips in the multicam editor and that would change the angle but now when I click, nothing happens.
Any idea what I am either not doing or doing wrong?
You're still in the multicam clip editor. The angle viewer isn't really active except to display the various angles. To change what you see in the viewer you have to change the active angle at the head of angle lane in the multicam clip editor.
How is it trying to sync? What’s the audio that it’s using? If you’re using visual points for syncing, you can add markers to the clips in the browser, then use the markers for syncing in the multicam function.

Apart from doing it incorrectly, the multicam was never going to work because my computer couldn't even play back the 6 minute 4K clip normally without numerous dropped frames!
I shall have to start optimising or using proxy media for the first time in my life (almost).
When you create the multicam clip check the settings and you will see a number of different sync options, audio, timecode, and using first markers.

OK I have done that but how do I get them to sync in the multicam clip?

Open the clip in the timeline where the 2 clips are displayed and drag the second one along to match the markers!
Are you doing that in the multicam clip editor? I think you are but I just wanted to check.
Don’t optimize. Use proxies instead.
