upgrade from Sierra to High Sierra

Trying to upgrade from Sierra to High Sierra. Link on the Apple site High Sierra page https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT208969 to the App store - which only has an 'open" button not "get". Pop up box states the application is damaged and can't be used to install macOS. Clicking on macos High Sierra from search field returns "no results". Any ideas on what I can do to upgrade to High Sierra?

Naw, not damaged, it's just that you have an old copy already in Applications, there are 2 cures...

Disconnect from the Internet & set the Date back to 2014, then you can run the Install MacsOS High Sierra App in Applications, so expired Certificates are not expired.

Or... trash the Install MacsOS High Sierra.app in Applications then a new copy can be downloaded.

DISCLAIMER: I didn't have a previous copy of the High Sierra installer already DL'd. I am just looking to looking to upgrade from Sierra to High Sierra.

Followed the instructions on resetting the date but no go. Firefox and iTunes squawked about untrusted certificates regarding the date. All links on the Apple site point to dead links ("The item is not available on the iTunes Store.") . I have an mid-2010 iMac which is running just fine for my needs but I need to update to High Sierra to take advantage of HEVC. Is there any other way to upgrade to High Sierra at this point?
