Messages Blank when opening on iMac

When I open Messages, it's all blank, no names or conversations. If I send someone a message it opens the last message to or from them and I can see the latest conversation, but if I start another new message then the previous message goes blank also. Here is what I see on the screen. I have tried as many setting changes as I can find.

I just found the solution from billcole from a 2013 post:


So the fix was simple. With Messages not running, run this command in a Terminal session:


defaults delete com.apple.iChat

It WORKED!!! Yeah!!!! Thank you billcole
