My Could has some adware or malware and I don't know how to get rid of it

I was on the phone with apple support and they said something is wrong with ,y iCloud. I literally bought a brand new computer just to test my theory so I got the brand new MacBook Pro, went to girlfriends house to use her internet, and didn't sign in with my iCloud, instead I used my girlfriends and it worked perfectly fine for hours found no trace of anything. Then I signed in with my iCloud and everything went haywire. I started not being able to update to the new version of the apple software, I couldn't do anything and now its just like my old computer with all the same problems. The tech said he couldn't find anything in my iCloud to show it was hacked, but I have 15 folders of iCloud documents when I use my spotlight. Any ideas soon why this is happening to me?
