Lost iphone

I have lost my iphone, i know my apple id but i can not track it via find my iphone app or i cloud , what can i do?

iPhone 6s Plus, iOS 12

If it doesn't show in iCloud.com/Find My Phone using a computer browser, you may not have turned Find My Phone on. You will have to do a manual search.
