I just bought a used Apple Mac Pro lap top and I wanted to use the migration assistant and it is asking me for a pass ! The user name is showing up as Mac ..I tried all my passwords and I changed the user name from Mac to My ID and still not working..can you please help?

Was the mac prepared for re sale correctly(?)
What to do before you sell, give away, or trade in your Mac ...
You may have to try a erase/reformat the drive before proceeding:
