Hello madelyndennis19,

I understand the camera on your MacBook Air is blurry. I'd like to help you get this resolved.

Which apps are you experiencing this with? If you haven't done so already, try out the camera with Photo Booth and see if it's blurry there.

Try out these steps and test out Photo Booth after each one:

  1. Disconnect any peripherals currently connected to your Mac other than the power cord.
  2. Reset the SMC: How to reset the System Management Controller (SMC) on your Mac.
  3. Reset NVRAM: Reset NVRAM or PRAM on your Mac.
  4. Test out Photo Booth while booted in safe mode: How to use safe mode on your Mac
  5. Test out Photo Booth while logged into a brand-new user account: How to test an issue in another user account on your Mac

Respond back letting me know if you experienced the same issue in a new user account and safe mode. Also, let me know if you appear blurry on the screen when taking a photo, or if you only see the blurriness in the photo after it's taken.

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

Take care.
