Catalina 10.15.4 update breaks color calibration and forces HDR

hi everyone


I'm running two screens via CalDigit dock:

  • 4k LG 27UK850-W (display port)
  • Apple Thunderbolt Display (usb-c via official dongle)


Installed the latest 10.15.4 update yesterday and now the LG screen is working in a very funky way.

macOS forces HDR mode for LG once I plug-in the doc via usb-c (every time).

After disabling the HDR in settings, the color calibration becomes completely broken (very high brightness and contrast) so I have to unplug/plug back the screen to make it work correctly.


Previously everything was woking fine.


Any thoughts or it is a bug?

I have seen other issue similar in using the " CalDigit dock"


I suspect it is bug of sorts.


You can check CalDigit website/help forums for support or updated driver
