Why Create a New Account?
Apple Accounts are not mergeable. So, contact Apple Support. Request to speak with iTunes Store Staff. From there, while on the phone, ask the Apple Rep to modify the eMail address to what it should be. Once updated, try logging in, prior to logging out. Then, end the call.
