Screen Mirroring from IPad Pro to MacBook Air

Hey,

I can't figure out how to "screen mirror" from my IPad pro to my MacBook Air (which is quiet old but does have OS Catalina). I know I can't do AirPlay display because my Mac is old - but it seem's odd I can't even do usual Screen Mirroring between the two?

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

If you are referring to Sidecar, you can find steps on how to setup and use Sidecar at Use your iPad as a second display for your Mac with Sidecar – Apple Support
