MacBook 13 Pro connection with iMac Retina 4k 2019

Hi, hiw I can connect both products and make screen mirroring? I tried with Thunderbolt cable but it doesn't work ( asked me to use thunderbolt cable)

Target display Mode requires an iMac from before 2014, and that iMac must be running High Sierra or older, according to this older article:


Use your iMac as a display with target display mode - Apple Support


However, you can use Screen-Sharing to get most screens to appear "in a window" on the other device -- just not at Video Editing speeds:
