Series 2 not connecting to iphone

I have a series 2 apple watch which has the most recent software update and the past week it has been disconnecting from my iphone 8. I have recently repaired it and at first it worked but then the next day it disconnected again. Any way of fixing this issue?

Unpair and re-pair and setup as new, not from a backup.
