iPad in setup and trapped in foreign language

I charged my new iPad (7th) generation) and it was in setup mode. I wanted the language to be English, but I tapped the screen on the wrong language.

I am stuck in setup and can't get out. I can't read what anything says. If I wait for the iPad screen to shut off, then press home, it does start rotating through “hello” in various languages. But when I press the hello in English, it goes into setup in the foreign language it got stuck in before.

I have tried pressing the home button, one, two, and three times. Since I am in setup, but haven't even put in my ID yet, I can't get to the home screen to try to get to settings to change the language there.

Any suggestion on how to start over?

Thanks

Jeff

Since I can't get out of setup to go to settings, sounds like I need to connect my iPad to my PC. I don't have iTunes on my PC. Do I have to install it for this to work?
