credit card payment

Of late I'm getting messages saying that my credit card issuer has declined some payments. According to me I don't owe anybody any money. Possibly I must have used an app or two on trial. I have no intention to use any of them beyond the trial and therefore any claim on my card is untenable. Please confirm.
