HomePod additional user voice recognition.

Recently got a HomePod and have been using the voice recognition feature for it myself just fine. Unfortunately I seem to be having trouble getting it to work for my wife. I have reset the HomePod, removed my wife from Home sharing and re-added after the HomePod reset completed. It got so far, but now my wife's Home app just states "HomePod voice recognition is almost ready". With some blurb about being notified when it is ready. Been like this for over 24 hours now. All the criteria like 2FA and location services are set correctly.

What is it waiting for? Would be useful if the message stated this.

Wife's has recently switched to a new iPhone SE. Is the HomePod waiting for more voice commands to be used on the phone perhaps?

Updated SE to 13.5. Removed second account from home. Reset HomePod. After going through setup, left things alone for about 10 minutes. Re-added second account to home and presto, it worked.
