Running out of storage

I am lacking storage on my computer. I bought 2 Seagate external hardrives and copied all of my files to them.

Can I start deleting the files from my internal hardrive now? Should I do a factory reset on my laptop?

Please advise as I am completely lost on what my next step should be.

Thank you!

Hi,

Yes, you can delete the files from internal drive, though if the files you mentioned are iTunes and Photos libraries, you need to connect external drives and run iTunes and Photos with press option key to select Libraries for the first time to run the iTunes and Photos.
