My custom apple motion effects won't render in Final Cut Pro. wondering if someone could help. I've tried everything, seeing if the save files accessible to Final Cut Pro app. also tried clearing files and bringing stuff from my external hard drive. If someone could help me would be very appreciated. This is what happens :

Also: what are the exact versions of both Motion and Final Cut Pro? If there is a mismatch and the version of Motion is more recent than FCP X, it may explain the problem. The current version of Motion is 5.4.5 amd the current version of FCP X is 10.4.8.

Can you show what’s in the inspector? It would seem the effect isn’t properly formatted or maybe saved. Perhaps you could also show the effect in the Motion Templates folder in column view so we can see what’s in the effect folder.
Now Henry's trial run is appearing in the browser, but doesn't have any controls, or they're closed.
When you save an effect in Motion to goes into to the one Motion Templates folder in Movies into Effects with the assigned category, henrys effects.
even if its saved from apple motion it seems to come up with this when trying to apply the effect
interesting news - motion templates folder is completely empty and there's like 16 of them, checked everyone all empty

got a timeline of the folders going through then - found the motion templates folder but am still unable to make the effect work in final cut - hope you saw the photo of the inspector
That indicates that an effect is missing. What have you done to the clip? Show the contents of the Video inspector.
Where are all those Motion Templates?
That effect is Defocus. Is there another effect called Henry's trial run. That's the one that's applied to the clip.
Im really sorry for bothering you, the software was in need of an update thanks for that though that did the trick !!!
