If you use the same app on different devices do you need a different app specific password on each device?

I use some of the same apps on iPhone and iPad and iMac (email apps for example). Must I have a different password on each device? Currently that’s the way it’s set up, but since there are only 25 app specific passwords maximum, I’m running out of passwords!

The only reason for having different passwords is if you want to keep the data separate.

say two siblings have the same game but each play their own game so they set up their own in game accounts/passwords to have separate advances.
