MacBook Air Backlight Keyboard Question

Hi there! I just recently got a Certified Refurbished MacBook Air (the 2019 model), and I have been noticing that the lights under the keys are like unevenly lighting the keys. I was wondering if anyone else had this issue or if it was just me? I've been hesitant with contacting Apple Support directly because I'm not entirely sure how to ask them. I attached some pictures of what it looks like (lowered the exposure on the pictures so the issue would be more noticeable with my camera). You'll notice that the light is only lighting part of the key, and leaving some parts of it very dim. I would love to know if this is normal or if I should get some warranty work on this MacBook Air.

I have a 6 month old 2019 MacBook Air which was purchased brand new. My keyboard keys light up in the same manner as your pictures indicate. Keys with full words on them show some uneven lighting however this does not bother me at all. I did not notice it until I saw your post. I am considering this as normal function / operation.

It's difficult to make any determination from those pictures, but I don't see anything out of the ordinary. Ideally, you might take it to an Apple Store and compare it to other models, if that's an option for you.

You should definitely contact Apple though. Obviously they won't be able to make a determination by just describing the problem to them, but your refurbished Mac carries the same AppleCare warranty as a new one, and should work exactly the same.
