No Luck Searching Google Drive on Files App

I use google drive to save work documents. On the web app, all the files are very easy to search for using keywords. But the files app doesn’t seem to have that same kind of access. No keyword or even just the title of the file will come back with a hit. I have to manually search through folders myself to find a file.

Is this a common issue? I’d love to find a solution because it makes using my iPad Pro for work an absolute chore sometimes.

Thanks for the help!

You’ll need to contact Google Support for assistance - as the interface between Google Drive and your iPad Files App is provided by the Google Drive App.

The Google Drive App may provide greater utility than the native Files App. Google will, no doubt, rather that your used their App in preference to Apple Files - as they have greater insight into you, “the product” upon whom they rely to mine marketable data relating to your habits, behaviour and interests.
