Best approach after installing new SSD?

Hi there,

I just replaced the hardrive on my vintage MBP with a SSD. Which is the best method for getting back up and running?

These are the options I have all ready & would appreciate if you would advise me on which one I should proceed with:

~ Time Machine backup

~ Carbon Copy Cloner full backup

~ El Capitan

~ original discs that came with my machine

~ the original hardrive (nothing wrong with it just wanted a boost)

I know some people use a cable that can dump the old hd to the new but I do not have one and have already done the physical swap.

Thanks,

J
