For some reason the sound levels on my iMac have become very quiet. Even cranked up all the way I can now barely hear any of the games I play or videos I watch. I have trouble hearing my wife on Skype as well.
At first I thought my headphones might be failing. But the problem persists if I switch to my wireless headphones.
Any suggestions? It's most annoying.

However I figured it out. Both headphones have independent volume controls that I somehow turned all the way down.
