Apple TV - Mirroring Mac

Can't get Apple TV to mirror Mac display. All I get is a generic Apple TV ad screen. This used to work. Ideas?

Yes, it can. It is Called Airplay, please click How to AirPlay video and mirror your device's screen - Apple Support , refer to the section called Mirror or extend your Mac display
