Someone has created an appleID using my email

Someone has erroneously created an appleID using one of my my emails xxx@gmail.com so I am constantly getting requests and email verifications from apple.

Over 50 emails!

How do I get in touch with the person who has created appleid xxx@gmail.com to tell them they made an error in the email they used?

I understand they can keep that name xxx@gmail.com but need to change the email associated. They have already linked an iphone to the appleid.

Thank you

The only way they could have completed the AppleID creation verification would be if they had full access to your Gmail account. They’d need it receive the verification email and respond to complete the creation of an AppleID.

So it seems to me your Gmail account has been hacked and you need to secure it immediately.
