Old Phone used for Mother in law
I want to reuse an old IPhone for my mother in law. She is aged and not at all technically competent.
Should I create a new Apple ID for her, or use my Apple ID on the IPhone I want to give her?

I would create a new one. They aren't designed to be used by more than one person. And she could affect your data by adding or deleting data to her phone that would sync those additions to your phone or delete data on your phone.
