imovie download difficulty


I am having difficulties downloading imovie for a mac on my Macbook Air. this is what comes up when I try to on my device.


"iMovie can’t be installed on “Macintosh HD” because OS X version 10.14.6 or later is required."

MacBook Air 13″, OS X 10.11

That is correct. To get current iMovie 10 you need to upgrade to at least Mojave 10.14.6. Or to Catalina. Upgrading to Catalina will make incompatible any 32 bit applications that you may have on your Mac. Also, legacy media will not play in iMovie.


Have you ever had iMovie on your Mac, even if you perhaps deleted it?
