Notifications Sounds not working - IPhone 11 - IOS 13.5.1

To start, try setting the alert to a different sound to see if that helps:

If that doesn’t help, with the troubleshooting you’ve already completed, we would suggest reinstalling iOS. While this doesn’t delete any information from your device, it’s a good idea to have a backup handy:

To reinstall iOS, follow the steps in the article below under the section labeled “Put your device in recovery mode and set it up again”:

I had exactly this issue with emails after upgrading my iPhone X to iOS 13.5.1 from iOS 12 last week! I found this tip somewhere on the internet (can't remember where, I was looking everywhere) and it worked for me:

Open your iOS Mail App.

Tap on "Mailboxes" at the top left.

Then tap on "Edit" at the top right.

Now un-check EVERYTHING so that only "All Mailboxes" at the top of the list is selected (should be gray with white tick).

Tap on "Done".

Turn your phone off, wait about 30 seconds and then turn it on again. Send yourself a mail from a Mac or PC to test, if possible.

I was having the same problem with texts, but they're now working too! Strange. Hope this helps you! Regards, Ian.
