Can't add a google account in mail

Hello

When i want to add a google account in mail, safari opens for checking password, everything seems ok, it returns to mail then i get this message in a new window:

Failed to authenticate with Google, please try again later

I tried everything, (restart, disconnect from google account etc) nothing works

It is very very annoying, even my calendar won't synchronise with google calendar

Ideas ?

Thanks

Hi, I had the same problem and looked for ages now. Here the solution that helped me:

  • Open the Keychain App (CMD+Space type in keychain)
  • type into the search-field on the right top "google"
  • look for all certificates of the account you have problems setting up
  • right-click > delete them
  • Restart the Computer and add the account in System Settings / Accounts
  • it should work now!!

Have a nice day
