Two MacBook Pro mid-2015 Models Have Simultaneous Speaker Failure!

My MacBook Pro speakers are failing to produce good sound. First it was the left one and now the right one.

My wife also has the same mid-2015 model MacBook Pro and she has lost function of her right speaker. Is this common and what is the cost?

Having two identical models experience this defect simultaneously is not just disconcerting, it also is affecting our work flow.

Hi,

Resetting NVRAM could solve sound related issues.

If it doesn't help, try to contact Apple support or make Genius Bar reservation or take your MacBook Pro to Apple Authorized Service Provider to be examined it.

There is possibility that speakers contact are loose to connect speakers and logic board. Try to check it by yourself.

Make an appointment at the Apple Genius Bar for service after the stores re-open. If you need to find an Apple Store - Find a Store - Apple. Also, see How to find your nearest Apple Authorized Service Provider (AASP) or Distributor (AAD). You may also get Apple authorized service at a local Best Buy or contact Apple Support for more options.
