restore

my phone shut down and now when i try to turn it on it shows a computer and a text saying ”support.apple.com/iphone/restore”

what does this mean?

It means that your iPhone will need to go through a restore process in order for you to be able to access it again. This will require that you connect it to a Mac or PC using an appropriate USB cable.


To restore your iPhone, connect it to your computer. When the iPhone appears in the iTunes source list, click the Restore button on the Summary tab. (Note: The following will erase all of your data and media and resets all of the iPhone's settings. You will need to restore it from a previous backup from either iTunes or iCloud.)
