Activation Lock

Our iPad has an activation lock on the screen that is not my husbands or mine. It was a previously owned iPad however when we contacted the previous owner they said the iPad was not listed as a device on their iCloud. Right now our screen is only showing an email hint, is there anyway to get the full email so we know who we need to contact t to get our device working again.

No.

There is no way to get the full email address on an Activation Locked device.'

That's the point!

Activation Lock is an anti-theft, personal data protection and privacy feature that cannot be circumvented.

No one here can help you. Apple WILL NOT help you with this.

If this is an over 9-year old iPad 2, I wouldn't even bother with doing anything with this iPad, now!.

Here is why.
