How to get a working install of iTunes on Windows 10 64 bit by NOT using the Microsoft Store

Download iTunes from Techspot.


Apple iTunes 12.10.7.3 for Windows XP, 7, 8 and 10


This installed and worked instantly without any problems. The Microsoft Store version simply doesn't run on new PCs (which are fully updated).

No need to go to any third party system. Go to https://www.apple.com/itunes/, scroll down and below the laptop/screenshot image, you'll see this:

Click on Windows > ... this will give the option to download the complete iTunes installer, 64-bit (default) or 32-bit:
