Apple TV not found in App Store

I'm a little bored so thought I'd watch some TV on my iMac in my office. But, when I go to the App Store, I'm not finding Apple TV.

iMac is running High Sierra and it's kinda "old" (2011) so it won't go up to Catalina. Is that the reason?

On macOS versions prior to 10.15 Catalina, you can log in to the TV website to access the Apple TV+ subscription content: https://tv.apple.com

Or use iTunes for Movies and Tv Shows from other producers or studios.

That is the reason. The Apple TV app for macOS is bundled with and compatible with macOS Catalina 10.15 or later.

Anything in the Apple TV app still requires a subscription or purchase, so it may need more dedication than a little boredom. I wouldn’t recommend using your personal subscription on an office machine (unless you are self-employed, but then you wouldn’t be bored).
