Catalina stops while downloading

what should I do to finish installing my os catalina if it always stop while downloading or updating my MacBook and it doesn't continue anymore? I've been tried "update now" for 8th times in a day. my currently Mac OS catalina 10.15.3

It would be worth boot to Recovery and run Disk First aid


Boot into Recovery (Command R) and from the dropdown menu: Utilities>  Disk Utility> run the First Aid on your Macintosh HD (and the "Macintosh HD-Data" volume as well if Catalina) If errors are found and repaired, run again until no errors reported.

Recovery: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204904



Then you can reboot into Safe Boot Mode to side step any further issues:

You can download direct the combo update to get up to the current macOS 10.15.6

What is there to stop you (?)


If no errors are found you are done there. Proceed.


Download the combo and install— if you continue to have a problem, SafeBoot is known to side step any further issue launching the installer/update from that environment.
