I had downloaded/stored my old photos onto iPhoto, but since updating my mac book iPhoto is no longer supported and I am not able to find these photos anywhere. They aren't stored on the new app photos. Does anyone know how to help me get these back? Thanks!

Did you migrate the iPhoto Library to Photos?

IS there an iPhoto Library in your Pictures Folder?

If so then Hold down the option (or alt) key and launch Photos. From the resulting menu select 'Choose Library' and point at your iPhoto Library. It will do the rest.
