apple says I owe money

Yeah; that’s very likely a scam.

But you can look up your account and purchase info at Apple, if you’re concerned.

Calling telephone numbers can be spoofed too, so don’t trust that.

Probably a SCAM, linndaw.

Simply visit your App/iTunes Store account, and see what it says!

Or, if it has to do with a Hardware purchase, visit your Apple Store account. (However. A purchase that wasn't fully payed for wouldn't be delivered.)
