The operation couldn't be completed. (PHResourceDownloadRequestErrorDomainerror 0.)

This came from trying to export a photo from photos library. I KNOW there are many answers but, as best as I can tell, none with this specific problem. Some of those photos are incredibly precious. Should I just reinstall the library? Thank you.

We understand you're seeing an error when you try to export a photo from your Photos library on your Mac. We know it's important to be able to move your photos; we'd like to help. We suggest starting with these steps, if you haven't already:


  • Quit Photos: Quit Apps on Mac
  • Restart the Mac
  • Open Photos while holding the Shift key.
  • Try again to export a photo.


If the behavior continues, use the steps in the following resource to repair the Photos library and try again: How to use the Photos library repair tool
