Pairing Apple Watch 2 with Iphone 6

I couldn't Pair an Apple Watch series 2 with an Iphone 6 . While pairing, i received a message that I should update the IOS on the Iphone to the latest version. I already have the latest version 12.4.8 . I can't update with a more recent one.

How to Pair the watch in this case ?

If the watch has watchOS6 then you need a phone with ios13 or higher which is an iphone 6s or higher.
