How do I export movie files from my iMac to an external drive?

To export an iMovie file to an external drive, click on the share button, choose File, and set the destination as the external drive.


Movies that have been shared out and are on your desktop you can select them, do an Edit/Copy, and then Edit/Paste it into the external drive. Alternatively, you can open the external drive and drag the movie from your desktop into the drive.
