Can I find the serial number of old devices that I have owned?
I need the serial number of my iPhone 6. I don't have the box and the phone has been traded in.

Why do you need the serial number? Are you trying to submit a claim under the battery lawsuit? If so, the claim website has a searchable database that may find it for you if you enter the proper information.
I understand that they can find it for me. I was wondering if I could find out that information. I am sure Apple keeps track of all the devices that I have purchased over the years. I was hoping that I could have access to that information.
Why do you need the serial number if you no longer own the phone? Sometimes they can be printed on the receipt. If they're no longer registered on your Apple ID you shouldn't need it as the phone is now likely owned by somebody else.
Usually that available is only available in your account for 18 months or so after your purchase. You can try contacting the store where you purchased it and see if you can get a receipt.
