Where do I find my back ups on my phone from six months ago and can I restore them from that time?

Are you talking about an iPhone backup? You cannot just choose to go back to a certain date like you could with Time Machine on a Mac computer. The only way you can go back to a specific date, is if you have an archived backup from that date.. or that date is the last time you did a backup. If you regularly back up your phone to iCloud or a computer, the new backup replaces the old one.

Also, this backup does not reside on your iPhone, it will be in iCloud or on a computer.
