My passcode for find my not working to open my mac

I recovered my Mac and I used find my to lock it but now I can’t my passcode from my iCloud to unlock it but I can ring it up

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.15

If you are the original owner, contact Apple. Apple can remove the Activation Lock if provided the required paperwork. Either take the device, the original purchase receipt with the serial number, and a photo ID to the nearest Apple Store (if it has reopened)

If it won't take the code or your password, you can try the below, but I am not sure you will be able to make it work.

Find My Phone – Remove device.

I have the passcode but it still tells me error and disable the device ,then I get to wait for 60 minutes

I am not the original owner, I bought it from a shop Farley used . I have my iCloud signed in will it help if I remove my device from it?
