Apple TV install issue

I’m installing a. 3rd gen Apple TV, that was used, using the HDMI cable method. When I selected the correct input on the TV, a window pops up and at the top, it’s titled AirPlay. Beneath that are two options to either connect to the network, or choose this AppleTV.

My remote will not allow me to toggle between the two options so I can select Comnect to WiFi. I replaced the battery and even tried my other AppleTV remotes to no avail. I know the signal is reaching the unit because the white led light flashes whenever I press a button.

i feel really stupid at this juncture as I have two other AppleTV’s of the same generation already installed in my home.

can anyone shed some light on this?

ot would be greatly appreciated!
