Synchronizing folders

How do I synchronize folders between two external hard drives? I'm not looking for backup. I just want to keep some current work on a portable drive to take with me.

Is there a way just in Mac OS (Mojave, in my case)? Or does it require a third-party app? If so, any recommendations?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Thank you, Rudegar!

Your Google search was wiser than mine and showed me many more options.

The built-in methods seemed too cumbersome for my intended use.

I'd already read about Sync Folders. Hoping that your placing it first of your three links suggested approval, if not ranking, I downloaded and tried it. It seems to be doing the job, so I thank you. The app is not as simple as it first looks, but synchronizing folders turns out not to be simple either. The options in the app made me aware of issues I had not thought of on my own. Sometimes Keeping It Simple might be Stupid. :)
